Background
Dr. Peregrine Murphy Kavros holds a PhD in Psychology from the City University of New York, and an MBA from Notre Dame du Namur. She offers an integrated platform of experience encompassing both corporate and non-profit sectors. Prior to Dr. Kavros' training in psychology, she served the corporate world as the In-House Compensation Consultant for Human Resources, and later as the Vice President of Administration, for Continental Corporation. After joining The Neurological Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, she counseled patients and families with progressive neuromuscular illness. Her organizational acumen led to the positioning of the Eleanor and Lou Gehrig MDA/ALS Center as one of the premier centers in the world. Dr. Kavros' Internship and
Post-Doctoral Fellowship were completed at the Center for Preventive
Psychiatry. A Post Doctoral Fellowship at Columbia University and Mentorship with Dr. Jeanette Wasserstein synchronized Dr. Kavros' training in Neuropsychology. Training in Human Sexuality and Sex Therapy, under the direction of Virginia Sadock, MD, was completed at New York University Langone Medical Center.
